Zen Is Finally on Every Apple Platform
This is the announcement I have been waiting to write. Zen : Your Way is finally available on every Apple platform I set out to ship: iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, Apple TV, and Vision Pro. Same product idea on each one. Just sit. Your way. Nothing else.
An Android version is in progress. It is not ready for release yet. Apple first. That was always the plan.
Why each device
iPhone. Where most sits start. Pocket timer, optional guidance. This is the base that is always with you.
iPad. Same sit, more room. Useful when the phone stays elsewhere, or when you want a dedicated home device.
Mac. For busy people who already live in a laptop. Close the window and the app can stay out of the way. The multi-platform work we did for Mac is also why iPhone Duo support felt almost baked in: resizable windows and shared layout discipline were already part of the craft.
Apple Watch. The reminder on the wrist. Set a length, start, sit. No lecture. Complications help you open a timed sit without digging through your phone. This is the one I use most.
Apple TV. Living-room silence. Big screen, same experience, keep time & guidance. I like this one more than I expected.
Vision Pro. The curiosity platform. Sitting in spatial computing is odd and interesting. I ship it because the shared core already runs there, not because anyone needs a headset to meditate. It’s the “why-not?” platform.
What is common everywhere
The install stays extremely small on every platform. No giant library bundled by default. Guidance that needs more audio can stay out of the first download. The app should feel light because the product is light.
Settings sync with iCloud, so bells, themes, and the rest of your setup follow you from phone to Mac to TV without rebuilding them by hand.
Widgets are there to launch the app with pre-set time shortcuts: pick a length on the Home Screen, tap, sit. Less setup mid-day. More sitting.
Apple Intelligence (and what it is not)
The latest release lays groundwork for Apple Intelligence and iPhone Duo.
On Intelligence: Zen does not run an on-device LLM, Writing Tools, or chat about your practice. What shipped is App Intents, so Siri, Shortcuts, and Apple Intelligence can find Zen and run a sit. Say something like “Start a sit in Zen,” “Sit for five minutes in Zen,” or “Pause my Zen sit.” Most of those actions start without opening the UI. Intelligence here means discoverability, not a model that thinks about your meditation.
On Duo: resizable windows landed because the Mac work already forced us to treat layout as shared, not phone-only. The latest release makes that readiness explicit. So the app is ready for when OS 27 launches.
