Return — Full

This is Return. For about a minute, you notice when the mind drifts — and come back softly.

[Pause 3s]

Make yourself comfortable — sitting, standing, whatever works right now. Eyes closed is fine — or a soft gaze, if you prefer.

[Pause 3s]

What you train is the come-back. Drift is normal. The moment you notice is the practice — not perfect stillness.

[Pause 3s]

Mindfulness training calls this beginning again. After distraction, you return. No lecture. No self-scolding.

[Pause 3s]

A quick note. This is a practice of attention, not a cure for a busy mind, and not medical advice. If you are struggling beyond what a minute can hold, please talk to someone qualified.

[Pause 3s]

A Breath Loop can keep the time for you — six breaths on the fingers — if you want something to hold. Optional.

[Pause 3s]

The move is simple.

[Pause 3s]

Rest on something simple — the breath, or the seat under you. When you notice the mind has wandered, that noticing is the practice. Soft return. No story. Rest again. If it drifts again, return again.

[Pause 4s]

Alright — we start now. Feel free to follow along.

[Pause 2s]

Rest somewhere simple — the breath, or the seat.

[Pause 4s]

If the mind has gone, notice that. Soft return. No story.

[Pause 5s]

Rest again.

[Pause 5s]

Drift may happen again. That is fine. Return again.

[Pause 5s]

Rest. Soft.

[Pause 5s]

You are practicing return — not perfect stillness.

[Pause 4s]

Soften. You can leave it here.

[Pause 3s]

And that is the return.

Practice this guided a couple of times, then try the come-back alone.

Thank you for beginning again with me.
