Light — Full

This is Light. For about a minute, you close the eyes and observe what you see behind the lids. It is not pure black. There is a field of vision that is always there — patterns, lighter and darker patches, soft shifts. Just observe that field. Do not get carried away by fantasy, or by the inner movie.

[Pause 3s]

Make yourself comfortable — sitting, standing, whatever works right now. For this one, close the eyes.

[Pause 3s]

Body, Sound, and Light are three foundational practices for the senses — feeling, hearing, and seeing. This one is seeing, with the eyes closed.

[Pause 3s]

What this offers is a simple rest in looking inward. Not inventing images. Just noticing what is already on the screen behind the lids.

[Pause 3s]

Some practices use the visual field the way others use sound or breath. This is a short mid-day cut of that — not a long sit.

[Pause 3s]

One clear note. This is a small attention practice. It is not therapy, and it is not medical advice. If something feels too heavy, please reach out to someone who can help.

[Pause 3s]

You can keep time with a Breath Loop if you like — finger-counting, about a minute. Optional. The guidance will hold the pace too.

[Pause 3s]

Here is the method.

[Pause 3s]

Close the eyes. Rest with what you see behind the lids. Notice that it is not pure black. There may be patterns, soft shapes, lighter and darker areas. That field is always there. Just observe it. If a story or daydream starts — an inner movie — notice that. Let it go. Come back to the simple field of vision behind the closed eyes. No need to make anything happen.

[Pause 4s]

We start now. Eyes closed — follow along with me.

[Pause 2s]

Close the eyes. Rest with what you see behind the lids.

[Pause 4s]

Notice that it is not pure black. Patterns, soft shifts, lighter and darker patches. Just observe that field.

[Pause 5s]

The field of vision is always there, even with closed eyes. Just see what is here.

[Pause 5s]

If an inner movie starts — a daydream, a fantasy — notice that. Let it go. Come back to the simple field behind the lids.

[Pause 5s]

Rest with the field. You can leave it here.

[Pause 3s]

And that is your minute with light.

Try this guided a couple of times, then rest with seeing on your own.

Thank you for resting with light.
